How many genius' does it take to unclog a toilet?

Brittaney came to spend the night with us tonight and brought a friend to stay. This was our first time meeting Averi and she is really sweet. She is welcome over here anytime. I love when my kids bring their friends to stay with us, as long as they are descent kids. We like to laugh, joke, and pick on everyone. My kids tell their friends that if we do not pick on you...well that means that we do not like you. I hope that Averi will come back and stay with us again after Brittaney dropped the bomb on her.

We have had a lot of rain over the past couple of days and our septic system started backing up tonight. Thanks to Brittaney, we discovered that the problem we have had for the past couple of months, has only gotten worse. My parents, Stephen and I were laughing so hard watching Britt and Averi trying to unclog the toilet. Of course, my mom the jokester was constantly telling the girls to watch out because the water was going to shoot up in their face.

*I could not get the first picture to turn...sorry just turn your neck.

Play ball

Austin was chosen for the Middle School baseball team and Monday is his first game. He is so excited and has even went to school with a migraine headache so that he will not miss practice and will be able to play in Monday's game. I can not wait to see how he will do this year.
I am debating on whether to sign Hunter up for t-ball or not. He is playing basketball now and is not enjoying it at all. Stephen and I get a kick out of watching him sit down and guard the goal, swing around the goal post, and run back and forth to Daddy telling him that he is hungry. He is so funny, but I do not want to waste money on something he will not enjoy. So should I sign him up or not?

Saturday night fun!

Saturday night Hunter and I got together with some friends for a night of fun. We went and ate mexican and then went bowling. My friend Tracy and her daughter Katelyn and Katelyn's friend Tabitha. The girls were so much fun to laugh with and they are so happy. Hunter's friend from school J.D. and his mom Wendy (who is also my friend). J.D. had never bowled before and it was so much fun watching the excitement in both of the boy's eyes everytime they threw the ball down the lane. Austin and his friends Dustin and Morgan came as well and they bowled a few lanes down from us, so they felt like big kids by themselves.

I usually do not go off without Stephen because we are two peas in a pod, but he went and did his own thing while we had a girls and boys night out. Brian, of course, had other things to do so he did not join us. We really had a good time laughing at the kids and doing something different.

My friend Chuck E. Cheese

Today Stephen and I took Hunter to Chuck E. Cheese for a day of fun. Hunter has been wanting to go for weeks now and we finally were able to take him today. We had so much fun playing games, eating pizza, and meeting Chuck. We have gone before and Hunter has been to scared to walk up to him let alone stand beside him for a picture. I think now that Hunter is a big boy he and Chuck can be friends.

My baby is 4!!!

Wow I can not believe that my little baby is 4 today. Unfortunately, I was not able to spend the day with him due to the fact that Stephen was in the hospital. But, Hunter's Uncle Lyde and Aunt Ashley took him to the mega maze, McDonald's, and the park. He had so much fun and we are so grateful that anytime we can call Lyde and Ashley for anything they are there for us and Hunter. Thanks you guys!
Hunter and I came home and spent the night together snuggling and watching t.v. together and missing Daddy. When he fell asleep I just glared at him in amazement that he has gotten so big. Why do I find myself crying every year on his birthday? It may be that I can not believe I have a little miracle baby... in more ways than one. My life has changed so much since Hunter has came along, like all moms. I love the relationship that we have, the bond that we share, and I love more than anything just being his Mommy. Happy Birthday baby, I love you more than you will ever know!

Valentine's memories

It was not until four years ago that I really had a reason to celebrate Valentine's Day. No' not for the silly LOVE holiday, but because that is the day that I was hospitalized, at 7 months pregnant, and four days later I received the best gift ever...my little boy. I have never been one to celebrate Valentine's Day because I think it is just a Hallmark holiday. I have always told Stephen that if you can not show me everyday...well then do not show me one day of the year. I will tell you that he does show me every day. We have a mutual understanding about the whole Valentine's garbage.
This year we celebrated Hunter's fourth birthday on Valentine's day. I can not believe that four years have literally flown by. The funny thing is I remember it like it was yesterday. I have a terrible memory and it has only gotten worse with age, but this is one memory that I hold so close to me. Hunter had his closest family and friends at his house to celebrate this big event and he was in heaven. He kept going over the guest list Saturday morning and as I named everyone that was coming he was in awe one name after another. By the time it was showtime he could not wait to see everyone. He had a monster truck cake, tractor balloons, cake, ice cream, and everyone that he loves...what more could he ask for? Okay... a four wheeler, maybe. Yes, his Daddy thought that his little boy needed a four wheeler in addition to his John Deere gator, and his power wheels four wheeler. I was really nervous about this purchase because Hunter is not scared of anything and I was not sure if he was ready for a real four wheeler. Stephen continued to inform me "Oh Mama, quit worrying he is a big boy now".
So, on Sunday Stephen and Brian took him to the hunting club while I stayed home and completed a huge essay that was due for English class. They assured me that Hunter did so good and had adjusted to the gas and the brake...until the end. He got a little "gas" happy when they were ready to put the four wheeler up, but he did well.
He had a really good birthday party and I am so grateful for everyone who came and celebrated our little miracle baby turning 4. Stephen and I are so fortunate to have our friends and family who love us so much! I will have pictures shortly to follow.

Up up and away!

I love the warm weather, so that we can get outside and get some Vitamin K. Stephen bought Hunter a kite to fly because this has been the first year that he actually knew somewhat he was doing. I love to see the two of them playing together and Hunter learning so much from his Daddy. I love to play with them as well, but unfortunately I have to be the photographer. Someone has to do it so why not?

Stephen flew the kite first to let Hunter understand how to hold the kite, but keep it away from the trees and powerlines. Once Hunter held the kite for the first time he did well...until the wind picked up. It was a little cool outside, but that did not dampen our fun.

New do?

Okay, so I was thinking about a new hair style for Hunter and have not made up my mind. Should I keep the little boy haircut or should I go punk rock on him? You tell me which do you like?

I gotcha now Daddy

Hunter loves when Stephen comes home because he loves to wrestle with him. Stephen can not hardly get in the door and put his stuff down before Hunter comes at him saying "I gotcha now Daddy." I think it is so cute to watch them play and hear both of them laughing. Hunter has gotten quite tough, I think having his Daddy and two older brothers not giving him any slack is the reason for his toughness. Stephen was laying on the couch trying to relax and out of no where Hunter comes running at him. They wrestled for a little while and Stephen told Hunter that it was time to rest. Hunter sat on the back of the couch just briefly and then he jumped on Stephen and he was not prepared for that, so of course it was game on again!
I love the see the boys playing together and I look forward to the relationship that they will develop in life.
